The ARA is organizing, in collaboration with Mediterranean MASE - GIPHISE and MASE Côte d’Ivoire a seminar on “Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Management systems, the MASE”. The course will run from 13th to 14th of February 2017 and will be held at the ARA Operational Headquarters, in Abidjan.
This seminar is targeted at Top Managers, EHS personnel, End-user and Subcontracted companies’ Occupational Doctors.
Mr. Luc DECOSSE, Industrial Hygiene Group Administrator in GIPHISE (Inter-professional Group for Preventive measures in Industrial Hygiene and Safety in Companies) will deliver the course in French and English.
The course will last two (2) days.
For more efficiency, the number of participants per session is set to twenty (20). If the need arise, the ARA will extend the number of sessions to two (2).
A participation fee of five hundred thousand (500,000) CFA francs or one hundred (100) US dollars per person is requested from companies not members of MASE Côte d'Ivoire.

OTHER WORK ACTIVITIES
1996: Member of the Working Group: Asbestos in Industrial Sites of the Etang de Berre Region (GTASIREB).
This working group was initiated by the Work and Labor Local Inspector and aimed to create documents describing the procedure to follow in order to apply properly new asbestos-related application decrees.
1999: Member of the GTASIREB Steering Committee
2002: Member of the Working Group: Health and Safety System. At the initiative of the Work, Employment and Vocational Training Regional Direction, this Group consists of representatives (maintenance, hygiene and security, doctors, preventive measures) of user enterprises, outside enterprises, and an inter-company Occupational Health Department.
This group aims to establish a methodology for Health/Safety risk analysis through the work performed by subcontractors in user enterprises. This methodology is established from test sites that allow tracking, throughout a work process, weaknesses in the communication of information to facilitate a proper Health/Safety risk assessment,
2003/2004: Study and implementation of a Safety Equipment general store on the petrochemical site
2004: Member of a committee awarding CNAM engineering degrees. The purpose of the study was: Employees exposure to polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons.
2005: Talk for the Health/Safety/Environment Day organized by the Health Professional University of Montpellier.
2005: Talk at the seminar organized by Euroforum on "Chemical Risk"
2005: Talk with Jacques Catani (Head of the CRAM-SE Laboratory) on Chemical Hazards training program for the Hygiene, Safety and Working Conditions Committee of the Etang de Berre enterprises.
2005/2006: Member of the Working Group: "Assessing and Preventing the Occupational Radiation Risk in Industrial Radiography Operations”.
